SAO Menu Style 0.7

This SAO Menu Skin Pack is made by 9Sun

This Skin Pack is a modification and repackage on many Sword Art Online Skin Pack I found on the web.

Don't download if you don't like it.

Features added:
- An option.ini for setting up the SAO Menu. Middle click on the Plus button to activate it.
- Many optimization on SAO Menu to remove CPU usage.
- The voicebox had been changed to support more player. For more info, open up the music1.ini
- SAO HP-Bar had been changed to switch between CPU, RAM, and hard disc C, D, E when clicked.
- IPPing had been changed so that when clicked, ping will be recalculated and change the display between WAN and LAN ip. To change the interface setting, open up the IPPing.ini
- Rearrangement of the skin so that it's easier for developer to upgrade.
- Many which I had forgotten.
- The setting of SAO Menu is moved to @Resources\User\, told here so that the advanced people can use it (Not needed as the option.ini is added.)

Bug fixed:
- Voicebox, and every skin under skill folder by aerionel is fixed to be usable to other system locale.
- String position of most skin under skill folder is fixed.
- Rewrite of aerionel's skin to increase support for modification usage.
- All hp bar that can display different colour, is fixed so that 3 colours can be display instead of 2 (bug), to change the threshold value where the colour will change, open up the file respectively.
- Many others I didn't keep track of.

Known Bug:
- The option menu sometime is bugged and display strange value. Restart Rainmeter to fix it.
- Some people will not be able to start the Select File menu when clicked on the icon or the target text. Reinstall Rainmeter to fix this. It's a problem with your Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable.
- Refresh the SAO Menu Skin after editing in option, or the SAO Menu will not be updated some time.

To be added:
- Rewrite of SAO Menu so that it takes much lesser CPU usage and the number of submenu can be modified (up to 4 each).
- Rewrite of every non efficient code.
- Increase the usage of Option.ini, to make it able to change the setting for many other SAO skin, so that this skin pack is more noob friendly.

For anyone having problems changing what programs open up when you click on third tier menu options-

You need to edit what is called "", not "SAOmain.ini" (which is what pops up when you middle click on the plus icon).   "" is located in the the "SAO" folder where you save your skins.  Go to SAO>resources>User.  There you should find "".  From there, you can edit the .png images (mouse hovering and not hovering over), names of the menu options, and what runs when you click on third tier menu options.

After opening "", it should be fairly straightforward to edit, just us ctrl+f to find the name of the thing occupying the menu spot you want to change.  You probably want to change four things- the .png that shows up, the .png that shows up when you hover over the option, the name (or "string", as it is in the code) of the menu option, and the action that happens when you click on it.  Just make sure you are editing the same option by making sure the number after "Item" is the same.

For example, if you are editing "m1Item1Item1Ico", you should also be editing "m1Item1Item1Icohigh", "m1Item1Item1String", and "m1Item1Item1Action".  Notice how the last number of all of them is a "1".

To edit what opens up after clicking the option, find the program or folder you want it to open.  Go to it's properties by right clicking on it, then "Properties" at the bottom.  Copy the target (for programs) or location (for folders).  Paste that at the very end of the the line that edits the action taken.  For example- "m1Item1Item1Action=#sound#[!HideMeterGroup mnItemn]"  You need to keep the single set of brackets and double quotations.  You may paste another set of double quotations.  In that case, just delete one set.

To edit icons manually (you can middle click and navigate what pops up to change them too)- Icons that come packaged with the download can be found by going to resources>icon.  Just follow the format of the code and type the name of the image (keep the .png at the end) on the proper line.

Additionally, you can edit the second tier menu names and icons.  Use ctrl+f to find the name of what is currently in the spot you want to change.  You can change the name, the icon, and icon for when it is selected; all are in the same paragraph.  To make sure you are editing the thee lines of code for the same menu option, use the same logic as above (the numbers).

To make sure you edited the code properly, save the code by going to file then save, and refresh the screen.  To refresh the screen easily, in the menu after clicking the "+" icon, click the last icon (probably a gear), then Rainmeter, then RefreshAll.

I found out more detail on how to edit the main thing

  1. How to change the item in menu.
  3. 1) Middle click on the Plus button. An option menu will came out (Or open the option.ini in option folder using rainmeter if your mouse doesn't have a middle button.)
  4. 2) Notice there are few button on the Option menu. First there is Type, then Floor, Region, Room.
  5. 3) Type 1 means that you will be editing the icon on the first submenu, came out after clicking the plus button. Type 2 means the second submenu and type 3 means the third submenu. Click on the Type to change between the 3 types.
  6. 4) The Floor X means which button in the first submenu, for example Floor 1 means the first button in first submenu, the apple icon. Click on the Floor text to change between floor 1 to 4. The 2 icons shown on the left is the icon for floor 1 to floor 4 respectively, while the 2 icons on the right is for the Plus icon.
  7. 5) To change the icon, just click on the icon and select the file. Do take note that the icon in the first submenu must be placed within the resources folder.
  8. 6) Next, for type 2, one additional option is shown, the Region. Region 1 at Floor 1 means the first option in the second submenu of the first button in the first submenu. To change the displayed text, just click on the text beside the icon and type in the desired text. To change the icon, just click the icon and select the file. Please remember that the icon in the second submenu and third submenu must be placed within the resources\icon folder.
  9. 7) For Type 3, an additional Room text is shown, as before, Type 3 Floor 1 Region 1 Room 3 means the 3rd choice of the third submenu by the 1st choice in the second submenu of the 1st icon in the first submenu.
  10. Everything should be same as type 2 except the additional target text. To change what program the choice lead to, just click the target text and select the program.
  11. 8) That's it with the tutorial!

Hi, I'm trying to edit the menu, but when I open up the notepad, the code shown doesn't show stuff like this- m1Item2Item1Ico=movie.png
Well, it sort of does, minus the parts after the equal sign. It's just all stuff like this-
Group=m1 | mn| m1Item2 | mnItemn | mnItemnIcon
Is it hidden? Or am I being a complete noob? I'm all for figuring out how to edit code, but there's no names or program links to edit. You must be sick of questions by now, but I would appreciate a shove in the right direction. Sweating a little...
